Two minors drown in Tangail

Two minor children were drowned in a pond at Baniabari village of Alenga municipality under Kalihati upazila in Tangail on Monday.

The deceased were known as Nahid Hossain, 4, son of Jahid Hossain, and Abir Hossain, 4, son of Abu Bakkar.

Family sources said, the kids fell in the pond while they were trying to bath their dolls nearby their house at the area this morning.

Later, family members noticed the children in the pond and took them to Tangail General Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.

Elenga municipality mayor Nur e Alam Siddique confirmed the matter.
