Two night guards crushed under covered van in Narayanganj

Two night guards were crushed under a covered van in BSCIC industrial area of Fatullah in Narayanganj early Tuesday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatullah Thana Aslam Hossain confirmed the matter.

One of the deceased is Ashraful Islam, 70, son of Tamjuddin at Singra Thana in Natore. He used to reside in Kashipur Dewanbari area.

Another deceased is Lalchand Roy, 38, son of Naresh Chandro Roy in Lalmonirhat. He used to reside in Enayet Nagar area of Fatullah.

Both were the night guards of Latif Knitting.

According to police, a cotton-laden covered van ran over them when they were sleeping, leaving two dead on the spot.
Police seized the covered van but the driver managed to flee from the spot.
