Two pirates held in Laxmipur

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has held two pirates of Fakir group along with two LGs and four rounds of ammunition.

The detainees are identified as Md Rasel alias Kala, 25, son of Fakruddin at Charlakkhi village under Ramgati upazila, and Md Ilias, 28, son of Abdul Gani at South Charbagga village in Noakhali district.

Confirming the news, RAB Company Commander and Assistant Police Super Md Abu Saleh said they were held conducting a drive based on secret information on Thursday noon when they were taking preparations to commit robbery. They were active members of pirate Fakir group.

RAB filed two cases against them with Jabbar Thana in Noakhali.
