Two women die of corona infection in Chattogram

Two women have died of coronavirus in Hathazari and EPZ areas of the port city Chattogram.

The two women died on Tuesday afternoon and evening respectively. One of them is 32 years old and another is 60 years old.

Chattogram General Hospital’s Senior Consultant and Corona Focal Person Dr. Abdur Rob said the 60-year-old woman was identified with corona on May 8 and was admitted to the isolation unit of Chattogram General Hospital. He was transferred to the ICU on Tuesday morning after his physical condition deteriorated. He died there in the afternoon.

The 32-year-old woman who was infected with corona was admitted to the in the evening and died around 7.00 pm.

A total of 23 people died of corona in Chattogram till Tuesday, according to the District Civil Surgeon's office.
