Two women killed in Tangail road accident

Two women were killed and another injured as a human hauler hit them in Daskhin Ghagra area at Nagarpur of Tangail on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shefali Begum, 40, hailing from Saturia upazila in Manikganj and Ujala Begum, 50, hailing from Pakutia union of Nagarpur.

According to sources, a goods-laden human hauler hit the women while the victims were crossing the road at 10:30 am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and another woman injured.

Police seized the human hauler but its driver managed to flee from the spot.
