Van driver crushed under truck

A van driver was crushed under a truck at Bedepara under Shailkupa municipality in Jhenidah on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place around 10.00am.

The deceased was identified as Noor Ali, son of late Oliuddin at Kanchanpur village of the upazila.

According to police, a speedy truck hit a van, leaving its driver critically injured.

He was immediately taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors declared him dead.

Police arrested the truck driver from the spot.
