Viqarunnisa teacher dies of shortness of breath

A female teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College has died of shortness of breath.

She was known as Tajim Binte Rahman, 40. However, coronavirus was not detected after testing her sample.

Tajim Binte Rahman passed away while undergoing treatment at Ayesha Memorial Hospital of Dhanmondi in the capital on Wednesday. She was buried at Shahjahanpur grave yard.

Professor Fouzia Rezwan, principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, said Tajim Binte Rahman was a teacher of English Version of its Baily Road Branch. She was taken different distinguished hospitals on May 25 after she had been suffering from shortness of breath, but she was denied to get admission. Later, she was admitted to Ayesha Memorial Hospital. She gave birth to a baby girl there by caesarean.

She was doing well for several days after she gave birth to the child. On Tuesday night, she was put on ventilator after she felt shortness of breath again. On Wednesday afternoon, she was declared dead.
