Wild elephant kills youth in Rangamati

Rangamati Correspondent: A youth was trampled to death in a wild elephant attack at Longdu upazila in Rangamati on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam, son of Adil Hossain, hailed from Jubalaxmipara village of Gulshakhali union.

Family sources said that wild elephant attacked the victim while he was returning home after Fazr prayers, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to Longdu Health Complex where duty doctors declared him dead.

Gulshakhali union parishad chairman Abu Nasir confirmed the matter.
