Woman dies of coronavirus in Tangail

A woman has died of coronavirus in Tangail, taking the number of death toll from the virus to two in the district.

Renu Begum, 55, died on Wednesday midnight while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.

Tangail Civil Surgeon Dr. Md Ohiuduzzaman confirmed the matter.

Renu Begum hailed from Kamarpara village under Bhaora union in Mirzapur upazila.

Mirzapur Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Maksuda Khanam said she was suffering from fever and cough. Her sample was collected on April 25 and her report came on April 27 that showed that she tested positive for coronavirus.

She was sent to Kurmitola General Hospital on April 28 where he died on Wednesday midnight.
