Woman hacked dead by husband in Gazipur

A woman was hacked to death allegedly by her husband at Bhannara village of Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur on Friday.

The deceased was known as Sathi Aktar Tumpa, 20, wife of Roky Mia, 24.

Police and locals said that hearing screaming, neighbors rushed to the spot and found the critically injured woman at floor. Later, she was sent to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors declared her dead.

Kaliakoir police station Sub-Inspector Sujan said, injury marks were found at the victim’s body.
