Woman with coronavirus symptoms dies in Narsingdi

A pregnant garment worker with coronavirus symptoms has died in Narsingdi Sadar upazila.

The 30-year-old woman died on the way to hospital on Thursday (April 9).

Locals said the woman returned to Narsingdi with coronavirus-like symptoms from Narayanganj yesterday (April 8) night.

She was being taken to a hospital as she started showing symptoms such as fever, cold, cough and breathing complications this morning but died on the way to the hospital,  they said.

Additional Deputy commissioner and Coronavirus Prevention Emergency Cell Chief Imrul Kayes said, "After being informed, samples of the woman have been collected and several houses adjacent to her house have been locked down."
