Woman’s throat-slit body recovered, husband-daughter held

Police recovered throat-slit body of a woman from Birampur village of Brahmanbaria sadar upazila on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Chantara Begum, 45, wife of Khalil Mia of the village. She was mother of three children.

Police held Khalil Mia and his daughter for interrogation over the incident.

According to police, cops, being informed by locals, rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, it was sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital for autopsy.

Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Selim Uddin confirmed the news.
