Youth dies of dengue in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: A youth died of dengue fever at Khulna Medical College Hospital on Monday afternoon.

The victim is Md Rasel, 32, son of Mohammad Selim at Narikelbari village under Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj district.

Rasel was a cleaner of Ramna Park in Dhaka.

According to sources, Rasel was hospitalised with dengue at a hospital in Gopalganj. Later, he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital on Sunday.

Khulna Civil Surgeon Abdur Razzak said until Tuesday morning, at least 447 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital, while 142 are currently being treated at the hospital. Of them, 305 made recovery and four died.
