Youth hacked dead in Pabna

A youth was hacked to death over a land dispute in Pabna Sadar upazila.

The incident took place at Uttar Raghobpur village in Malanchi union of the upazila around 7:00pm yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Nuhu Khan, 30, son of Md Sujon Khan.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Nasim Ahmed said people of opponent side stabbed Nuhu to injury at Uttar Raghobpur village in Malanchi union of the upazila and later dumped him at a roadside place.

Being informed, local people rushed to the spot and admitted to Pabna General Hospital after he was recovered. Nuhu was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital when his condition deteriorated but succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, the OC said.
