Youth hacked dead

A youth was hacked dead by miscreants at Atrai in Naogaon district on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Rasel Rana, son of Mojibor Rahman at Chakparguna village of the upazila.

According to sources, miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons when he was returning home from the local market around 10.30pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Atrai Thana Moslem Uddin said police suspect that he was murdered over a land dispute.
