E-Cab members can send 10,000 dollars abroad annually

From now on, members of the E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (E-CAB) will be able to send $10,000 dollars a year abroad for reasonable expenses without approval. This will make e-commerce activities easier.

The Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular in this regard on Sunday (May 2). 

The circular has been sent to all authorized dealers of foreign exchange in the country which will be come into effect soon.

According to the circular, international credit and prepaid cards of $2,000 dollars can be issued in the name of the nominated officer of the concerned institution from within the annual quota limit. Foreign currency money can be kept on the card again. However, the amount of money sent abroad through cards and under the conventional banking system can never exceed $10,000 dollars.
