Banks to remain closed for next Sunday and Wednesday

The government has enforced a nationwide lockdown to prevent the coronavirus infection. The banking activities will operate on a limited scale. However, the central bank has given instructions by setting a new schedule for the transaction. As per the instructions, on August 2, 3 and 5, banking transactions will run from 10:00 am to 2.30 pm.

According to the instructions, all banks will remain closed on Sunday (August 1) and Wednesday (August 4).

All other instructions issued by the central bank’s department of off-site supervision on July 13 will remain unchanged.
