DU student drowns in swimming pool

A student of Dhaka University (DU) has drowned while he was taking a bath in the swimming pool of the university’s physical education centre.

The deceased was identified as Swad, 19. He was a first-year student of the Department of Philosophy and a resident student of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall. 

He was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 1:45pm, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
