Int’l conference on ‘21st Century Film and Digital Media’ held

The three-day-long successful International online conference with internationally renowned media personalities ended on Thursday (25 February) night. The event was organized by the Department of Film and Television of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, in affiliation with BCI Media Canada.

At the conference titled '21st Century Film and Digital Media', about 16 resource persons including researchers, writers, producers, directors, journalists, and musicians from eight countries of the world shared their experiences in their respective fields. They also expressed interest in working in a joint collaboration with the Canadian University of Bangladesh.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, the vice-chancellor of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, was inaugurated the conference on 23 February. He highlighted the development of Digital Media and opportunities for youth in the entertainment sector globally, a press release has confirmed the news.

Greek pianist Stelios Kerasidis slammed the piano with his extraordinary hand magic on the last day. Paris Katzivelos, Media & Communication Uni Duk Austria Poem, Dr. Shemin Balachandran Nair, Indian director and cinematographer, Panos Kaltsis, president of the Greece Ecological Delphic Union, Rena Tirozoudi, president representative of BCI Media Canada were also included as a panel member.

The conference was jointly moderated by Dr. Zohir Biswas, head, film & television department of Canadian University of Bangladesh and Lena Kyropoulos, Journalist, entrepreneur poet, Greece.

The students and faculties of the university along with the audiences from all over the world attended the session through the online zoom platform and Facebook live.
