IU CSE deptt farewell, freshers’ reception held

Islamic University (IU) Computer Science and Engineering Department organized a reception to welcome the new students and farewell to outgoing students of the department on Monday.

IU vice-chancellor Prof Dr. Shaikh Abdus Salam was present at the event as the chief guest held at Birshrestho Hamidur Rahman auditorium of the campus around 11:30 am.

The VC, in his speech, welcomed the new students to the university and wished success to the future of outgoing students.

Prof Dr. M Robiul Hoque, chairman of the department, presided over the program while Prof Dr. Tanzima Parvin, dean of engineering and technology faculty, attended as the special guest.

Prof Dr. Ahsan-Ul-Ambia, Prof Dr. M Ibrahim Abdullah and Associate Prof Shamim Hossain, Joyassree Sen, M Habibur Rahman and M Shohidul Islam, among others, were also present here.

Students of the department Shamim Hossen and Tajmin Sultana Mimi, jointly, conducted the program.

A cultural program was held at the end of the event. Teachers from the department, new and outgoing students, and officers and employees of the department were also present.
