Cyclone Midhili: Body of the Cyclone crossing coast

The front part of cyclone ‘Midhili’ started crossing the Bangladesh coastal areas in Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar on Friday noon.

Md Manawar Hossain, a Meteorologist of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) confirmed the matter.

He said the front part of Cyclone Midhili touched the coast of Bangladesh. It is progressing further. Its main part may hit Bangladesh coast this evening.

The maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist danger signal No 7 while Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar danger signal No 6.
