BNP leader dies in Kashimpur jail

A BNP leader has died under captivity in Kashimpur Central Jail of Gazipur.

He died at around 12:00pm on Friday while underdoing at Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.

The deceased is Asaduzzaman Hira Khan, 45, son of Giasuddin Khan at Dhamloi Purbapara under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur district.

He was the general secretary of ward No. 6 BNP in Kawaid union under the upazila. His prisoner number is 3397/23.
Sreepur Thana BNP General Secretary Kamruzzaman Liton said Asaduzzaman was detained at Sreepur Railway Station when he was returning from BNP grand rally in Dhaka on October 28 last. Then he was sent to jail through court implicating him in an explosive case.
