Mashrafe’s annual income falls

The annual income of Awami League candidate for Narail-2 constituency Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has decreased.

However, his assets, have increased from Tk 9.14 crore to Tk 9.42 crore.

According to the affidavit, the annual income of the former captain of the Bangladesh cricket team is Tk 88.54 lakh, compared to Tk 1.99 crore in 2018.

Of this, the incumbent MP of the Narail-2 constituency earns just over Tk 14,1953 a year from shares. Mashrafe earns Tk23.03 lakh as honorarium and allowance, as shown in the affidavit. Meanwhile, the income from other sectors is Tk 51,49,485.

According to the affidavit, Mashrafe's movable and immovable assets have increased by Tk 28,10,580. Five years ago, his total property was Tk9,14,59,051 (excluding 50 tolas of gold). At present, he has assets worth Tk 9,42,69,631 (9 crore 42 lakh).

Narail district returning officer also Deputy Commissioner Ashfaqul Haque Chowdhury said the Awami League nominated candidate for Narail-2 constituency, Mashrafe Bin Mortuza's income has decreased but his wealth has increased.
