Paturia-Daulatdia ferry services halted due to dense fog

Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia and Aaricha-Kazirhat routes have been suspended since this morning due to poor visibility owing to the dense fog.

BIWTC Aricha office DGM Shah Md Khaled Newaz confirmed the matter around 8:30am on Sunday (December 10).

He said four ferries already got stuck in the river on Patuaria-Daulatdia route. Six more ferries in Paturia ferry ghat and another one in Daulatdia ghat are stuck due to the suspension of ferry services.

BIWTC Aricha Ghat manager Abu Abdullah said the service was suspended from 11:00pm to avoid accidents.
