Two killed in accident due to dense fog in Gazipur

Two people were killed when a private car hit an island due to heavy fog in Palli Bidyut area of Gazipur on Sunday morning.

The deceased were known as Abu Taher, 45, and Ibrahim, 36.

Police and local sources said Dhaka-bound a private car collided with a road island in the area around 4:00am, leaving two people in the vehicle dead on the spot.

Later, on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

Naojor highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shahadat Hossain confirmed the matter.
