Two hajj pilgrims died in Satkhira road crash

Two female hajj pilgrims were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Assasuni upazila of Satkhira on Friday (February 23).

The deceased were known as – Fazila Khatun, 50, wife of Arshad Ali, and Achia Begum, 55, wife of Kashem Gazi.

Locals said that a pickup van rammed a three-wheeler in Nawapara area this morning, leaving the two people dead on the spot and injured three more people. Later, the injured were sent to Assasuni upazila health complex.

Assasuni police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Biswajit Kumar confirmed the matter.
