Train services between Dhaka, northern region resume after 4hrs

Rail communications between Dhaka and northern districts were restored this morning, around four hours after the engine of a commuter train developed technical glitch in Tangail's Basail.

A relief train arrived at the spot around 11:00am and recovered the commuter train.

Tangail Commuter train driver Mamunur Rashid said the train is being taken to Tangail station along with its damaged engine. Train service will be resumed as soon as possible now.

Earlier, the rail communications between Dhaka and northern districts was disrupted as engine of Tangail commuter train went out of order in Sonalia village of Habla union under Basail upazila.
