7-member probe body formed over S Alam sugar fire

A seven-member investigation committee, headed by additional district magistrate, was formed to find the cause of the fire at S Alam group sugar mill in Karnaphuli of Chattogram.

Additional divisional commissioner Anwar Pasha formed the committee on Sunday (February 4).

CMP's deputy commissioner (port zone) Shakila Sultana confirmed the matter.

Additional district magistrate Mamunur Rahman was made the chief of the seven-member probe committee.

Earlier, the fire that broke out at S Alam Refined Sugar Mill at Karnaphuli upazila Chittagong, was brought under control about six and a half hours after breaking out on Monday.
