Youth killed in Sonargaon election violence

A youth has been killed in an election violence at Pirojpur union under Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj.

Hriday Bhuiyan, 24, was shot dead on Saturday evening in Dudghata area of the union.

He was the son of Amir Hossain Bhuiyan at Dudghata village.

Officer-in-Charge of Sonargaon Kamruzzaman said he was shot dead by his rivals over vote counting.

Eight police men were also injured who tried to bring the situation under control, he also said.
