Four including wife get death penalty for killing expatriate

Four people including wife have been awarded with death penalty for killing an expatriate named Abdul Jalil in Homna of Cumilla.

Cumilla District and Sessions Judge Md Jahangir Hossain handed down the verdict on Wednesday (March 27).  

The convicts are Shanaz Begum, Md Kuddus Mia, Abdul Khaleque and Md Razib.

According to the case statement, Abdul Jalil was abducted from Homna on way to Dhaka on June 9 in 2013. On the next day, the death body of Abdul Jalil was recovered from Baherkhola area.  

Later, the victim’s brother Tajul Islam filed a case.
