15 ferries, 20 launches to ply on Daulatdia-Paturia route during Eid

A total of 15 ferries and 20 launches will ply on Daulatdia-Paturia route for crossing passengers and vehicles on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Muslims.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at deputy commissioner’s office in Rajbari on Thursday (March 28).

The meeting was held to ensure smooth journey of holidaymakers and safe crossing of vehicles on the route.

Deputy Commissioner of Rajbari District Abu Qaiser Khan, manager (commerce) of Daulatdia Ghat Branch of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Mohammad Salahuddin, BIWTC deputy director (port officer) Sazzadur Rahman and others were present at the meeting.
