Two lynched in Gazipur

Two suspected cattle lifters were killed in a lynch mob attack at Namila village of Singhosri union under Kapasia upazila of Gazipur on early Friday (March 29).

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, Kapasia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC), said the incident took place around 2:00am.

The OC said some unidentified people entered into the house of one Chan Mia. Sensing the issue, Chan Mia shouted and gathered locals.

Meanwhile, locals managed to catch two of the cattle lifters and gave them a good thrashing, leaving them dead on the spot.

Sringholi union parishad chairman Anwar Parvez said that there are four to five more cattle lifters are staying in the area. Locals are still searched for them.
