Kuakata beach abuzz with tourists on 2nd day of Eid

18-kilometer Kuakata beach has become a popular destination for tourists during the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.

A large number of tourists involving local and foreign ones thronged Kuakata beach to enjoy their vacation during this Eid.

They started gathering at the beach in huge numbers since Friday (April 12) morning, the second day of Eid.

They arrived in the beach using different modes of transportation involving buses, microbuses, private cars, pickup vans, motorcycles, and even auto rickshaws.

Law enforcers were seen working to ensure the security of the tourists at the beach.

Many people were seen enjoying their day swimming in the sea and making merriments with their loved ones. Many are seen sitting on beach chairs, enjoying the sea and nature. Incoming tourists are joining the festivities, dancing to the rhythm of the waves of the sea.

Tourists are also visiting different places in Kuakata, such as Kuakata’s Kua, Lemburban, estuary of rivers, Gangamati Lake, Lal Kakra Char, Misripara Buddhist Monastery, Sri Mangal Buddhist Monastery, Rakhine village.

Some of them ride motorcycles from end to end of the beach.

A tourist couple named Sajib and Yeasmin who came from Dhaka said, “Everything here seems good. The thing that attracted them very much is the small waves hitting the beach. It’s a kind of feeling that will remain ever fresh in our hearts.”

Kalapara Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Rabiul Islam said, “Law enforcers have been deployed in the area to fend off any untoward incident. Tourist police, river police, thana police, fire service and 40 members of scout are working to ensure the security of tourists at the beach so that they can enjoy their travel safely.”
