3 die inhaling toxic gas inside septic tank in B’baria

Three workers died after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank at Nasirnagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Sunday (April 14) afternoon.

The incident took place at Gutma village under Guniauk union of the upazila.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

According to locals, three workers went down to the septic tank of an under-construction building for cleaning. After getting no response from them for a while, locals informed police and fire service department.

Nasirnagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Sohag Rana confirmed the matter.

On information, a rescue team from nearby Fire Service and Civil Defence station rushed to the spot and is conducting rescue operation, the OC said.
