UP member shot, slaughtered 

A local Union Parishad (UP) member has been shot and slaughtered reportedly by miscreants in broad-daylight at Narsingdi sadar upazila.

The incident took place in Pakuria area under Amdia union of the upazila on Monday noon.

The deceased is Rubel Ahmed, 34, son of Shahjahan Mia and member of Ward No-8 under Amdia UP.

According to the victim family, Rubel was returning home, but a group of miscreants shot him and then, slaughtered him to confirm his death at Pakuria.
