Kalapara records highest temperature at 40.2°C 

Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district on Monday (15 April) noon recorded the highest temperature at 40.2 degrees Celsius in Bangladesh, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department. 

According to Abdul Jabbar Sharif, radar station in-charge, the upazila is currently grappling with an intense heatwave and this peak temperature was recorded at noon.
