Two brothers lynched in Faridpur

Two siblings were killed and injured seven more people in a mob beating at Panchapalli of Dumain union under Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur on Thursday night (April 18).

The deceased were identified Ashraful Khan, 17, and Ashadul Khan, 15. The victims were son of Shahjahan Khan, hailed from Ghoperghat village of Nawapara union of the upazila.

Sources said a fire broke out in a Hindu temple in Panchapalli village. Meanwhile, locals suspected that the workers of a under construction school set the fire. Later, villagers beat the two siblings, leaving them dead on the spot.

Madhukhali police station Duty Officer SI Md Nazimuddin confirmed the matter.
