4 platoons of BGB deployed in Faridpur

Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to maintain law and order in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur as a tense situation have been prevailing in the area over the death of two labourers.
Public Relations Officer of BGB headquarters Md Shariful Islam confirmed the news on Wednesday afternoon.
Four platoons of BGB under the guideline of several magistrates started patrolling at around 9:00pm on Wednesday at Baliakandi and Baghate Bazar under Faridpur Sadar and Madhukhali upazilas.
Earlier on Thursday (April 18) evening, two people were killed and several others critically injured after agitated locals attacked construction workers of a school following a fire at a temple in Panchapalli village under Dumain union of the upazila.
