4 injured in house explosion in Bogura

At least four people were reported injured in an explosion at a residential house in Bogura on Sunday night (April 28).

The injured were known as Rebeka Sultana, 40, wife of Rezaul Karim, daughter Sumaiya Aktar, 14, Jim, 16, daughter of Rashedul Islam, and Tasnim Bushra, 14, daughter of Ali Hossain Babu.

Witnesses said that the heard a sound of a huge explosion around 9:00pm. Meanwhile, locals rushed to the spot and found two rooms of the house damaged due to the blast. Later, the injured people were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

Bogura fire service and civil defense deputy assistant director Khandakar Abdul Jalil said that we thought the explosion caused due to gas cylinder. However, the three gas cylinders of the house were found intact.

Bogura sadar police outpost in-charge (Inspector) Ali Ashraf said bomb disposal unit will visit the spot to know the reason behind the explosion.
