5 killed as truck rams into car in Habiganj

At least five people were killed when a truck rammed into a private car in Habiganj's Madhabpur upazila early Thursday (May 2).

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in Haritala area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway.

Shaistaganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Badrul Karim confirmed the matter.

He said the victims lived in a rented house in Savar of Dhaka. They went to Sylhet to visit Shirin with family members. The accident took place in the area when they were returning home from Sylhet.
