Obaidul Quader’s younger brother receives death threat

Md Abdul Quader Mirza, the younger brother of Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, has allegedly received a death threat.

Mirza, also the mayor of the Bashuraht municipality, lodged a general diary with the Companignaj police station in Noakhali over the matter on Tuesday (May 14).

Earlier, he received death threat in his personal mobile phone.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companignaj police station Pranab Chowdhury said, “A general diary has been filed with the police station over the death threat. Higher authority has been informed about the matter. Legal action will be taken after an investigation into the matter.”
