Juba League activist crushed under bus in Pirojpur

A Juba League activist named Poritosh Roy, 50, has been crushed under a bus in Pirojpur.

The accident took place in Ruhitola Bunia area of Pirojpur-Dhaka highway.

The deceased was the son of Dhirendro Nath Roy at Parchim Baniari village under Matidanga union in Najirpur upazila.

According to sources, he was going to Pirojpur by van to join district Juba League conference. A bus hit their van, leaving him dead on the spot.

Najirpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Shah Alam Hawlader said police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee the spot.
