Two workers die falling into septic tank in Laxmipur

Two workers died after falling into a septic tank in Raipur upazila of Laxmipur on Sunday afternoon (May 26).

The deceased were identified as Kader Hossain, 21, son of Khorshed Alam, and Rabin Hossain, 18, son of Jakir Hossain.

Local sources said three workers got stuck inside of a septic tank when they descended into the tank in an under-construction building for cleaning. Meanwhile, the owner of the building called fire service rescuers.

Later, a fire service rushed to the spot and sent the three workers to Upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared the two persons.

Raipur police station Officer-in-charge (OC) Shamsul Arefin confirmed the matter.
