‘PM observing flood situation in Sylhet’ 

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Mohibbur Rahman visited some flood-hit areas of Sylhet on Wednesday (June 19).

During his visit, he said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is closely observing the country’s flood situation. 

The state minister distributed relief materials among the flood-victims at Mirabazar Kishori Mohan Boys School shelter in the city.

Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury was also with him.

Md Mohibbur Rahman said initially the ministry has allocated Tk 10 lakh, 100 metric tons of rice and 2 thousand packets of dry food.

Flood situation in Sylhet has deteriorated with the Surma, Kushiyara and other rivers in the region swelling above the danger level.
