Bahamian national held with 4-kg cocaine at Ctg airport

Customs officials have detained a Bahamian citizen along with around 4-kg cocaine from her luggage at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

The detainee was identified as Statia Shantae Rolle, a citizen of the Bahamas.

Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, director of Shah Amanat International Airport, said Shantae had travelled from Brazil to Dubai before arriving in Chattogram on July 13 and she did not have any luggage with her at the time.

Two days after she landed in Chattogram, she came to the airport to pick up her luggage.

She was detained and a package of cocaine, weighing 3,900 gm, was seized after searching her luggage.

He also said that it is being investigated whether anyone else is involved with this cocaine smuggling woman. All involved with this incident will be arrested.
