Asaduzzaman Noor`s house vandalized

Former Culture Minister and prominent actor Asaduzzaman Noor`s house was vandalized in Nilphamari on Sunday (August 4).
The attacking incidents took place around 11:30 am.
Locals said that the protesters took out a procession from the Boro Bazar area of the city. The procession reached the Chowrangi junction and took position at the District Commissioner's Square. At that time, the protesters threw brick-chips at various buildings including the DC office. Police fired tearshells and rubber bullets to disperse them. Meanwhile, 25 people were injured.
Later, the protesters entered into the office of Asaduzzaman Noor's residence and torched 10 motorcycles.
Nilphamari police station OC Tanvirul Islam said the protesters have been urged to carry out the program peacefully. We are patiently monitoring the situation.
