UP chairman killed in Moulvibazar clash

A Union Parishad chairman named Sirajul Islam Chhana has been killed in a clash between two groups in Madhur Bazar area under Panchgaon union of Rajnagar upazila in Moulvibazar district.

About 50 people were injured in the clash.

According to sources, two groups locked into a clash on Friday noon over establishing supremacy.

Sirajul Islam received bullet injury in the clash, and he was taken to MAG Osmani Medical College. Duty doctors at the hospital declared him dead.

Being informed, army men rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
