Tarique acquitted in defamation case

A Madaripur has cleared BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman of defamation charges.

The court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Obhijit Chowdhury acquitted Tarique in the case on Saturday, in response to a plea filed in this regard on August 7.

On 15 December 2014, during a speech in London, the BNP leader termed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ‘a big Razakar’ for having himself banned Awami League.
