Bus service on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar route halted

Transport workers have suspended the bus service on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar route without prior notice in protest against the beating of a bus driver.
They are not allowing any bus to head towards Cox’s Bazar after 9 am on Sunday (September 8).
The sudden suspension of the bus service on the route caused huge suffering to the ordinary passengers.
Transport workers were seen halting the movement of buses taking position in new bridge area of the city. They were also seen chanting various slogans at the moment.
A transport worker named Abdur Rahman said, “We are observing a strike halting the bus service on the route in protest against the attack on transport workers, torture and extortion.”
