Businessman hacked dead in Bogura

A businessman was hacked to death by miscreants in Joypurpara of Bogura district town on Tuesday night (September 10).

The deceased was identified as Rana Mia, 45, son of late Azizar Rahman. He was rod trader.

Murtaza, a nephew of the victim said after a family program, Rana Mia and his wife were returning home yesterday night riding a rickshaw. Meanwhile, some local youths demanded extorsion and stabbed him with knives, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Bogura Sadar police station SI Abdur Rahim confirmed the matter.
